Soaring Eagles

Print

eagleStudents now have the opportunity to become "Soaring Eagles." Each month classroom teachers nominate students who show good behavior based on the school's SOAR Guidelines...

S - Solves Problems

O - Outstanding Decisions

A - Academic Excellence

R - Respectful

Nominees must obtain signatures from staff members who agree that their behavior has been exemplary. Once the student has the signatures, they are then honored with their Soaring Eagle necklace at a school-wide assembly.

Soaring Eagles have many special privileges. They are allowed in the hallway without a pass, teachers call on them to help with special tasks, they line up first at lunch and at other times. In addition, Soaring Eagles are treated to extra recess time and special field trips.

Parents and family members can help by talking with their children to see how they can assist them in becoming a Soaring Eagle. Homework in on time, good attendance and being prepared for learning are all attributes of a Blue Ridge Soaring Eagle!
